Description: Book Condition: V⁄g. 29 x 22cm. Full Leather Binding. V⁄g. Hardcover. 29 x 22cm. and Administration of the Sacraments and other Rites and Ceremonies of the Church according to the use of the Church of England together with the Psalter or Psalms of David, Pointed as they are to be sung or said in churches.All edges gilt and lavishley gilt decorated spine and covers. The book has almost split at page 297 and this can be noticed on the spine which has not split but has a crease. Text pages are clean and bright. The whole is a very beautiful book. There are ink insciptions on the fly leaf recording the birth of Jemima Isabella Cornwallis born n the 25th January 1807. Includes the information that she was vaccinated in 1807 and again in 1814 also inoculated with small pox, which did not take, in 1816. It records similar information for other members of the Cornwallis family including Henry James Corwallis, born November 1809 died December 1809, Frederick Horace Corwallis born 24th January 1812, died 31st March 1812, Charles James Cornwallis born 17th December 1813, baptised on the 15th February 1814. Vaccinated in 1814. Inoculated with smallpox in 1816. Julia Mann Cornwallis Born July the second 1844 baptised July 23rd 1844. vaccinated November the 12 1844 " which took thoroughly". The Earl Cornwallis arms form the bookplate inside the front cover. We bought the Prayer book directly from the Cornwallis family. Hardcover.

Some general shelf wear, slightly browned, otherwise very good.
